Donald Orville Bruner

Donald Orville Bruner was born on May 7, 1941 in Gladewater, Texas. Son of Orville & Mildred Bruner. He graduated from Leverett’s Chapel and Kilgore College. Don was proud to raise his children in Leverett’s Chapel and was actively involved in their hobbies and sports. Don lived his life fully with his many hobbies such as golfing, bowling, photography, painting, camping and fishing. He walked through life on earth with charisma and making many friends along the way.

Don is survived by his wife, Jodie Bruner, son Jay Bruner and wife Christy of Longview, son Shane Quinalty and wife Cammy of Kilgore and daughter Angela Bruner-Jones and husband Jeff Jones of Bedford. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren,17 great grandchildren and his brother Randall “Butch” Bruner and wife Billie of Marshall. He has an abundance of cherished nieces and nephews. In passing, Don has been reunited with his Lord and Savior, his daughter Donna Bruner- Szymarek and his beloved parents. He will be profoundly missed by all who have experienced the joy of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, TX.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 14th at 10 AM at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with his grandson, Rev. Justin Linseisen, officiating.

Reception to follow at Grace Fellowship of Kilgore directly across from Rader funeral home.
