Pastor Don Beebe, Donald Frederick Beebe, passed away on October 10, 2026, in Friendswood, Texas, at the age of 81. He was born on March 7, 1945, in Kilgore, Texas, a community that remained closely tied to the story of his life.
A graduate of Kilgore High School’s Class of 1963, Don answered the call that would define his life’s work. He served as a pastor throughout his entire career, giving his years in faithful ministry and steady leadership. In 1979, he established Grace Baptist Temple, a lasting work that reflected both his devotion and vision. He continued in that calling until his retirement in 2014, but his ministry did not end there. After he moved to Friendswood he served as the senior’s pastor at First Baptist in Santa Fe, Texas, for four to five years, continuing to encourage and shepherd others. Among the accomplishments dearest to him were his years as a pastor and the deep love he held for his family and his community.
Don will be remembered as a man whose life was rooted in faith, service, and love. His ministry touched many, and the church he founded stands as part of the legacy he leaves behind. To those who knew him best, he was not only Pastor Don, but also a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose care for others was evident in the way he lived.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Stone Beebe, and by his parents, Loren Frederick Beebe and Syble Odom Beebe.
He is survived by his son, Donald Martin Beebe, and daughter-in-law, Christina Beebe. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Donald Beebe II, Tabitha Beebe, Spencer Beebe, Mikayla Beebe, Cameron Beebe, Ari Beebe, David Beebe and Jeremiah Beebe who were part of the family he loved so deeply. He is also survived by his brother, Alan Beebe, and his sister, Patricia Cummins. May his memory remain a blessing to all who shared in his life, his ministry, and his love.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, 401 N Martin Street, Kilgore. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Home Baptist Church, 15746 County Road 173 North, Kilgore. Burial will follow at Danville Cemetery on Danville Road in Kilgore.
