Dalton Thomas McCarson, 31, of Abilene, Texas completed his earthly adventure and returned to his Lord and Savior on August 3, 2024. This fun-loving man was born December 29, 1992, in Longview, Texas to Penney Heath and Gary Thomas McCarson.
Dalton moved from Longview to Mount Pleasant, Texas at five years old. He then lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico during his teen years before settling in Abilene, Texas. He was thrilled to gain a bonus dad in Mike Rhea and bonus mother in Karen Kaster. He was a funny little boy who grew into a leader, teacher, and hardworking man. Not one to shy away from his nature, Dalton thought “normal is boring”. This was reflected in his ability to find joy and silliness in all aspects of his life and to never worry about what anyone might think. During Dalton’s much too brief life, he thrived with his friends and family. He made every single day count. His happy place was perched upon his motorcycle, the freedom of the open road before him is where he found his bliss. He also enjoyed sharing his life lessons with friends and family. As a gun buff, he preached safety to all around him. While an adventurous adrenaline enthusiast, he always ensured his loved ones were protected and safe. Always one to lend a helping hand, Dalton would go the extra mile for anyone who needed it. He was a graduate of Merkle High School in 2011 and attended Texas State Technical College to obtain his certification as a Wind Technician in the field of renewable resources. He worked for EDP Renewables.
Left to cherish the memories, Dalton leaves behind are his wife Brianna (Beard) McCarson, parents; Penney and Mike Rhea, Karen Kaster; grandmother Maryetta Wright, his sister Samantha Lengal and brother-in- law Tyler Lengal, many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as countless friends. Dalton was a treasured husband, son, brother, and friend. He will be profoundly missed by all who have experienced the joy of knowing him.
In passing, Dalton is reunited with his father Gary McCarson, grandparents Harold and Bonnie Heath, grandparents Tommy and Kit McCarson, grandparents Gene and Betty Knight, and grandfather Charles Wright.
