Cynthia Marie (Ford) Campbell beloved wife, mother, aunt, “Mimi”, sister, daughter, and friend passed into Glory on March 29, 2024.
Cindy was born to Seldon Jackson Ford and Nellie Marie (McCoy) Ford on October 31, 1955, in Tyler, TX. Cindy graduated from Longview High School and as a young adult worked at Ford’s Meat Service, a business owned by her family for many years. On February 14, 1994, Cindy married David Campbell in Longview, TX and loved him faithfully until her passing. After marrying David, Cindy worked alongside him in their shared business endeavors, most notably a branch of Lone Star Transportation that they owned and operated in Kilgore, TX for many years.
Cindy is survived by her husband, David Campbell of Kilgore, TX; children – Amy Foster and husband Don of Wichita, KS, Jennifer Medders and husband Kasey of Chugiak, AK, Davita Colburn and husband Scott of McKinney, TX, and David Campbell Jr. and wife Rebecca of Barrie, Ontario. Cindy was Mimi to seven beloved grandchildren – Andrew and wife Stephanie, Felicia and husband Anthony, Sydney and husband Dolph, Kristian, Kailee, Campbell, and Cora and four beloved great-grandchildren – Lorelei, Henry, Sophia, and Josslynn. Cindy is also survived by her siblings, Jackie Ford and wife Melanie of Kilgore, TX, and Tricia Vestal and husband Brad of Longview, TX, and devoted cousin Susan Stephenson and husband Paul of Longview, TX.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and many dear friends that are now rejoicing with her in Eternity.
It is not an exaggeration to say that Cindy could most frequently be found serving others. She was a devoted member of New Horizon Church of God and could be found there each Sunday morning leading worship from behind the keyboard. She delighted in serving her husband and family and even in her final moments she cared for those around her. Cindy made everything around her beautiful, delighting in decorating for holidays and special events, and hosting family and friends in her home for meals and celebrations. The family takes comfort in knowing that she celebrated Easter with Our Father.
