Clifton Grey Kennedy

Services for Clifton “Cliff” Kennedy, 87 of Kilgore will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Dudley Plaisance officiating. Burial will follow at Northwest Louisiana State Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mr. Kennedy passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 in Kilgore.

Mr. Kennedy was born on April 9, 1931 in Duplin County, North Carolina to the late Charlie Gurman Kennedy and Essie Frances Brock. He graduated for Mount Olive High School and served in the United States Air Force where he retired after 26 years as a Master Sergeant. Cliff and Gloria lived in Ventura, California where he worked for Hughes Aircraft Company in the Space and Communication Division in El Segundo, California prior to moving to Kilgore in 1974. He was member of Pirtle United Methodist Church and was proud veteran who very much loved serving his country.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria Kennedy of Kilgore; sons, Brad Kennedy and wife Lori of Sisters, OR, Timothy Kennedy of Stockton, CA and Clifton Kennedy, Jr. of Gillette, WY; daughters, Kellie Kennedy of Stockton, CA and Terry Baldo of Sherman, TX; sister-in-law, Ruth Kennedy of Evans, GA; grandchildren, Ethan Kennedy, Hailee Kennedy and Betty Pont and other loving grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
