Charles Eugene Wyatt, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on July 22, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on December 12, 1957, in Kilgore, Texas, Charles was a lifelong resident of the community he cherished and served.
Charles dedicated a significant portion of his life to his career, retiring from Allied Waste Services in Kilgore after 30 years of dedicated service. He continued to contribute to the workforce for 15 additional years at J & M Automotive. Charles's work ethic and commitment to his job were evident throughout his professional journey, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.
In addition to his career, Charles proudly served his country for six years in the Army Reserve. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional endeavors, reflecting his strong sense of duty and responsibility.
Outside of work, Charles enjoyed spending time in nature. He was happiest when fishing at the lake or hunting in the woods, activities that brought him peace and joy throughout his life. His love for the outdoors was a defining aspect of his character and provided cherished moments with family and friends.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Lilmah Dent Wyatt of Kilgore; children and grandchildren, including Jessica Head and husband Chuck, along with their daughter Hailey and Emily; son Eric Wyatt and wife Kayla, and their children Jordan and Aaron; son Billy Dixon, Jr. and wife Kelli, along with their children William and Jillian. He is also survived by bonus children Kim and D.J. Thorton; his brother George Wyatt and wife Debbie; sister Barbara Wyatt; as well as several nieces and nephews, and many friends whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Mary A. (Scott) Wyatt; his son, Stephen E. Wyatt; and his brother, Bobby Joe Wyatt. Charles's legacy will be remembered through the enduring love of those he leaves behind and the countless memories shared among family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This gathering will provide an opportunity for those who knew and loved Charles to come together, honor his memory, and celebrate a life well-lived. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.
