Carolyn Ann Landry

Carolyn Ann was born October 12, 1957, to George and Madaleen Hay in Yoakum, Texas.  Due to unfortunate circumstances, she was adopted by Frank and Alta Hollan at the age of three.

She grew up singing and playing the piano in church and the occasional funeral service in her small community.  Carolyn sang in the High School Choir and Solo for various school performances.

After marriage, and eventually moving to Tyler, she started a daycare in her home.  She dedicated ten years to the community as a childcare provider but also founded and served as president of the Tyler Home Childcare Association.  From there, she moved to Kilgore to place her three sons in a smaller school district.  This would lead Carolyn to her next business venture a cleaning service known as Sparkle and Shine.  She spent over thirty years proudly serving the Kilgore and Longview area.  There were several clients through the years that turned to Carolyn to house and pet sit for them when they were away.  Along the way she began to do small event catering, as cooking and baking were her favorite hobbies.

In 2016 she married the love of her life Daniel, and they began a beautiful Journey together founded on love and friendship.

She is survived by her loving husband Daniel Landry; children Shannon Henry, Kristopher Faye and wife Candice, Carmine Faye and wife Lauren; stepdaughter Emily Landry; daughter-in-law Danielle Faye; siblings Susan Smith and husband Steve, Mary Sterling, George Hay, Jr., Faye Channell and husband Curtis and Ellen Hay; maternal and bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren Devyn, Logan, Brandi, Skyler, Valen, Tanner, Avery, Tyler, Kylie, Hannah, Makenzie, Carson, Kloee, Aubrey, Christian, Emily, Paisley, Keaton, Maverick, Legend, Creed and Axel.

Carolyn will live on in the hearts and memories of all the family and friends she leaves behind.

A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore form 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
