Funeral Liturgy for Carolina Velasco, 76 of Kilgore will be celebrated 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Henao, STL officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Cemetery. Mrs. Velasco passed away Tuesday, March 31, 20269 in Longview.

Carolina was born February 7, 1950, in Agnascalientes, Mexico to the late Agapito Ortega Rodriguez and Maria del Carmen Parga Duron. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Kilgore and was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister who will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Martha Patricio Ortega, Alberto Ortega, Jaime Ortega, Juan Carlos, Dionicio Velasco and wife Graciella of Kilgore and Miguel Velasco of Kilgore; siblings, Rodrigo Ortega, Rogelio Ortega, Gustavo Ortega, Silvio Ortega, Rosario Ortega and Soyla Ortega; grandchildren Carmen Velasco, Vanessa Velasco, Alexa Velasco, Leonardo Velasco, Alison Velasco, Abraham Ortega, Fernanda Ortega, Leticia Ortega, Claudia Ortega, Laura Carolina Ortega, Damian Ortega, Brenda Ortega, Edgar Ortega, Guadalupe Ortega, Carlos Ortega, Secchid Ortega and Cleidy Ortega as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m., Friday April 3, 2026, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore. The family will receive friends immediately following the Rosary from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
