She was born on August 9, 1938, in Kilgore, Texas. Carol Ann was a quiet and reserved woman whose life was defined by her love for the Lord, her devotion to her family, and her caring and loving spirit.
She was a faithful, generous, and kind-hearted woman who remained loyal to those she loved. Her quiet strength and genuine compassion touched the lives of those around her. She was a devoted member of Danville United Methodist Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life.
Her love for God and her family was evident in the way she lived her life. She kept many handwritten Bible verses throughout her home, reflecting the importance of Scripture and her faith. She also found great joy in watching The Gaither Homecoming videos, filling her home with the gospel music she loved. Her quiet faith, gentle spirit, and devotion to those she loved will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
Carol graduated from Kilgore High School in 1956. It was in Kilgore that she met the love of her life, Malcom Kinney. The two were married on November 27, 1957, and began a life together built on love and family. They raised three wonderful children, spending most of their years together in Kilgore, Texas. Their family was the center of Carol’s life, and she cherished the home and memories they built together.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Malcom Kinney; her parents, Joe Thomas Biggs, and Harriet Mooneyham Biggs; and her brothers, Charles Mac Biggs, Cleve Biggs, and Jere Joe Biggs.
Carol’s memory will forever be treasured by her family, who were the greatest loves of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Kinney; her sons, J Kinney, and Brad Kinney (Michaela); and her cherished grandson, Noah, who was truly the light of her life. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will hold her memory close to their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to Highway 80 Rescue Mission in Longview, Texas, or Pleasant Hills Children’s Home in Fairfield, Texas.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, support, prayers, and generosity during this challenging time. They would also like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Hospice of East Texas for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Carol and her family.
