Carlota "Carla" Cecile Wren, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Kilgore, Texas. Born on June 28, 1962, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, Carla lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a steadfast commitment to those she loved.
Throughout her career, Carla served as an Administrative Assistant for various companies, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues through her hardworking nature and her dependable, positive demeanor. Always striving to maintain an upbeat outlook, she faced life’s challenges with resilience and grace.
Carla possessed a deep love for the natural world, particularly the animals that shared her home. She was especially fond of her cats and delighted in feeding the birds and squirrels that visited her yard, finding joy in observing the simple wonders of wildlife. Beyond her affection for animals, Carla cherished time spent with family and friends, relishing moments watching movies across all genres and creating memories that will continue to be treasured.
She is survived by her son Logan Ford and his husband Jason, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Her mother, Charlotte Sampson, and Charlotte’s husband, Gary, stand by her memory with loving remembrance. Carla’s brother, Chris Wren, and his wife Heidi, remain close in heart and spirit. She also leaves behind her granddaughter Kaydence Jones and great-granddaughter Azalia Hyatt, and other loving family and friends who will all cherish her enduring love and influence.
Carla was preceded in death by her father, Joe Wren; her son, David Jones; her grandparents; and several close friends who held special places in her heart.
Her family will welcome friends and loved ones for a visitation with family on March 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, located at 401 North Martin Street, Kilgore, TX 75662. This time will offer a moment to reflect on Carla’s life, share stories, and find comfort in one another’s company.
Carlota "Carla" Cecile Wren’s life was one of quiet strength, unconditional love, and unwavering positivity. She touched the lives of all who knew her and leaves behind a legacy of compassion and dedication that will not be forgotten. Her spirit will continue to live in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her.
