Brad Hambright, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, cherished brother, and faithful friend, passed away peacefully at his home on January 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on November 1, 1974, in Eugene, Oregon, Brad lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those he loved and served.

Brad devoted many years of his life to serving others as a Paramedic with CHRISTUS EMS in East Texas, most recently serving as Station Captain in Kilgore—a role he carried out with pride, integrity, and a deep commitment to his community. In both medicine and everyday life, he was known for his calm presence, selflessness, and heartfelt desire to help anyone in need. His calling to serve extended beyond his professional career—Brad also worked in construction, where his strong work ethic, craftsmanship, and pride in doing things right were evident in every project he touched. A high school graduate in Oregon, Brad carried the values of hard work, integrity, and perseverance throughout his life.

A man of many talents, Brad was a skilled woodworker whose creations reflected his creativity and careful attention to detail. He found great joy in building things by hand, just as he found purpose in building relationships. Brad also had a lifelong love for baseball, a passion that began in his high school and college years and followed him throughout his life. The game provided many cherished memories, shared with family and friends both on and off the field.

Above all, Brad was a devoted family man who consistently placed the needs of others before his own. Generous with his time, his talents, and his heart, he never hesitated to lend a helping hand—whether to family, friends, or strangers. His warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit made him the heart of every gathering, and his ability to bring people together left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Brad believed family extended far beyond bloodlines, embracing the many friends who became family through love, trust, and unwavering support. He had a rare gift for making people feel welcomed and valued, forming bonds that ran as deeply as those shared by name or blood. His life was profoundly enriched by the people he loved—and by the love returned to him in countless ways.

Brad is survived by his beloved wife, Krystal Weekley Hambright of Kilgore; his children, Nickole Portley, Zakarie Hambright, Bryce Hambright, Erica Kopelow, and Shelby Maring; and his treasured grandchildren, Kettner, Elijah, Klarrissa, Karver, Landon, Esther, and Keegan, who brought him immense joy and pride. He is also survived by his siblings, Brian Hambright, Jeni Kantola, Chetney Hambright, and Kelli Hambright; his stepmother, Rita Hambright; his stepfather, Mark Allain; along with many cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who were blessed to know him.

Brad was preceded in death by his father, Rodger Hambright; his mother, Carroll Spradlin Allain; and his beloved grandson, Dawson.

While Brad’s passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who loved him, his legacy of love, service, generosity, and kindness will continue to live on. He will be forever remembered with deep affection and respect by all whose lives he touched.
