Billy Don Dixon, 73 of Kilgore passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026. Born to Dewey and Bonnie Dixon, he graduated from Kilgore High School in the class of 1970. Honoring his country, he served in the United States Army and was a member of Military Police where he received an honorable discharge.

After his military service, he pursued his passion for jewelry, obtaining certification from Kilgore College. For over 30 years, he was the proud owner and operator of Dixon Jewelers in downtown Kilgore, where he was a cherished town jeweler. He was also a proud member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Dixon; his brother, Harold Dixon; his sister, Barbara Singleton; as well as numerous cousins, in-laws, and outlaws.

He is lovingly remembered and survived by his son, Billy Dixon Jr., and wife Kelli Dixon of Aubrey, Texas, along with their children William and Jillian; his daughter, Felicia Grimes, and husband Kevin Grimes of Harrahan, Louisiana, and their children Quinn and Cullen; and his mother, Bonnie Dixon of Kilgore, Texas as well as numerous cousins and other loving family members.

He leaves behind many customers, friends, associates, and relatives who supported him throughout his life and career, embodying the true passion and dedication he gave to his craft. We are grateful for the impact he made on so many lives and honor his memory with respect and admiration.

Services for Billy Don Dixon will be held 10:00 am Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. David Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.
