A joint Visitation for Johnny and Billie Patterson will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, Texas, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
Johnny Roland Patterson, age 85, passed away on January 19, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. He was born in Kilgore on December 14, 1939, to Otis and Fannie Belle Patterson. A lifelong resident of Kilgore/Tyler, Johnny was the proud owner of Patterson Barber and Beauty Supply for over 65 years. Known for his warm heart, welcoming smile and love for the outdoors. One of the kindest men you could ever meet, Johnny touched countless lives with his gentle nature and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Billie Ann Foster Patterson, age 81, passed away on July 18, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. She was born in Arp, Texas, on August 14, 1943, to Bill and Venita Foster. Billie was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. A homemaker by choice and heart, she dedicated her life to raising her family and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and care.
Johnny and Billie were married on August 14, 1958, and shared a joyful marriage of 66 years. Their love was an example of faith, devotion, and partnership.
They are survived by their two sons: Marty Patterson and wife Tracey of Tyler, and John Patterson and wife Gina of Kilgore; four grandchildren: Brandon Patterson of Midland, Holly Stadler of Utah, Jacob Patterson of Bullard, and Hayden Patterson of Kilgore; and nine great-grandchildren who brought them immense joy.
Johnny is also survived by his sister, Rita Lowrey of Waxahachie, and brother, Jim Patterson of Houston. He was preceded in death by his brother Horace Patterson of Greenville, and infant sister Peggy Patterson of Kilgore.
Billie was preceded in death by her two brothers: Bobby Foster of Houston and Bill Foster of Kilgore.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Hospice of East Texas in Tyler for the compassionate and loving care provided to both Johnny and Billie during their final days.
Though they are no longer with us, Johnny and Billie leave behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories that will live on in all who were blessed to know them.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of East Texas (Tyler), the Multiple Myeloma Foundation, or the Dementia Foundation of America.
