Betty Lou Chanler

Betty Lou Chanler passed away on December 1, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 10, 1942, in Pine Hill, Texas, to the late Aubrey Leon Crawford and Lorene Brown.

Betty worked for Kilgore Manufacturing for many years prior to working for Skeeter Boats for 25 years. Betty and BIll formed the band "Down Right Country." They brought joy to many senior citizen events and made countless friends along the way.

In her leisure time, Betty found delight in playing 42 and spending time with her family.

Betty leaves behind her daughters: Debbie Wyatt and husband George, Kim Wilburn and husband Anthony, Elizabeth Hill, and Janalee Ewald; her son, Ray Chanler; and a host of grandchildren, including Jeff Wyatt and wife Brandi, Jeremy Wyatt and wife Mandy, Michael Wilburn and wife Katelyn, Tosha Miller, Dustin Crews, Raeann Porter and husband James, Jovan Thomas, Kadee Mendez, Caleb Chanler, and Maranda Covington and husband Tommy. She was also the proud grandmother of 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, Haiden.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Leon Crawford and Lorene Brown; her husband, Billy R. Chanler, Sr.; her daughter, Vickie Laroux; and her siblings, Janice Gage, Linda Graham, Jerry Crawford, and Billy Jack Crawford.

Visitation for Betty will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Chaplain Mitch Stroda officiating. Burial will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Betty Lou Chanler will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
