Alexander "Alex" David Cerliano

Jul 10, 2004 — Aug 22, 2026

Gilmer, Texas

Alex, age 22, was born at his family home in Gilmer, TX. He lived in both Gilmer & Longview. He was known as a protector to his family & always seemed to have a smile of mischievousness upon his face and a gleam in his eyes.

Alex is survived by his fiancé, MiKayla Thomas and his 6 week old daughter, Saige. His parents, Terry & Rhoda Cerliano; his brothers, Anthony & Avery Cerliano; his sister, Valarie Cerliano. His grandmas, Gail Cerliano & Ann Burk. His Aunt Rachel & Uncle Timothy Roden, Aunt Rebekah & Uncle James Lundquist, Aunt Ruth & Uncle Paul Glass; Aunt Donna Cerliano & Uncle Adam Guidry. His cousins: Kendra Umstattd, Vannan, Joel, & LaRue Roden; Jonathan, Karen, Robert, Sarah, Christopher, Michelle, Mary, Matthew, Hannah Zuniga, Stephen, Samuel, Joseph, Timothy, & Grace Lundquist; Shianne, Avyana, Miya, Jade, & Rosalind Glass. James Anderson Gibson III, Maria Dominguez & Jacob Harper.

Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon & Ruedean Burk; his grandfather, Donald Cerliano & cousin, Jennifer Lundquist.

Alex worked in Longview at Subway & Cefco, and did Door Dash. He loved reptiles, especially his turtles. He built different habitats each time he cleaned their cages. Of course, his turtles have been know to live in the bathtub and even the above ground pool from time to time.

He, like his Poppa Vernon, enjoyed working on cars and dreamed of rebuilding his “Z” with his daughter Saige one day. The status of “the favorite” in the house was always of joyful banter between brothers and sister.

His cooking skills were a blessing and he never shied away from cooking in the kitchen or the great outdoors on a homemade fire pit. His homemade chicken strips was the favorite request from everyone in the family. Though pizza, Taco Bell, Welch’s gummies, white cheddar popcorn & cheese-its were always his go to’s.

He used Lego’s to build many original designs that were always “so COOL”.

Celebration of Life service will be held at Center Cross Church 4010 Judson Rd, Longview, TX 75605 on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 4pm.
