William "Willie" Douglas Pepper

William “Willie” D. Pepper

Chapel services for William ‘Willie” D. Pepper, 62, of Kilgore, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with Rev. Wesley Veazey officiating. Interment will follow in the Chalk Hill Cemetery in Chalk Hill. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. A memorial registry book will be available for signing from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Pepper completed his earthly journey on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, in his home in Kilgore.

William was born on April 28, 1958, in Odessa to Robert O. Pepper, Sr. and JoAnn Clark Pepper. He attended Jefferson ISD. Willie was a Master Water Well Driller and worked in the oilfield and water well business during his working career. He was a founder and former partner of LTW Water Well Services in Kilgore. He was a member of Kilgore Missionary Baptist Church. Willie enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin, and stamp collecting. He also was a knife craftsman. William was a proud member of the NRA and Duck’s Unlimited. His family was the source of his strength and spending time with them was when he was happiest.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Stephanie Lasseigne and her husband Ryan of Kilgore, Jonathan Pepper of Kilgore; grandchildren, Jordan and William Swanson, Logan, Lacey, Laney and Layla Lasseigne all of Kilgore; siblings, Barbara Pepper Terrell of Kilgore, Carolyn Jo Pepper Hanlon of Mauriceville, Reba Sue Pepper Marburger of Orlando, FL, David Lynn Pepper of Kilgore, Norma Jean Pepper Hunter and her husband Randy of Kilgore and Clifford Wayne Pepper and his wife Karen of New London. Also, left to carry on his legacy are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family members.

Willie was preceded in death by his grandparents Waymon D. and Ollie May Pepper, William Edward and Maudie Elizabeth Clark, his parents Robert O. Pepper, Sr. and JoAnn Clark Pepper. , brother Robert O. Pepper, Jr, brothers- in- law Edward Glen Terrell and Thomas Joseph Hanlon.
