William Scott Harris

February 28, 1967 — April 2, 2022

William Scott 'Billy" Harris

William Scott "Billy" Harris,55, of Lindale, completed his earthly journey in his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 2, 2022, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.

Billy was born February 28, 1967, in Dallas. He attended Whitehouse High School. During his years of working, he did various jobs. Billy married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Tracy Kennedy in 2017. She remained faithfully by his side during his battle with pancreatic cancer. Together, they were able to take Billy’s bucket list trip to Peru, last month.

Billy preferred to live simply, as “far off of the grid” as possible. He was so very proud of his gardening. He built an eco-friendly water filtration system for his greenhouse and had the ability to grow anything that he planted. Billy could build or fix anything. The home that he and Tracy shared was a work in progress, all done by Billy. He loved to ride and work on motorcycles. Billy enjoyed music, hanging out with family and friends, cooking and just being outdoors.

Billy was reunited with his mother Leah Ann Stocks Sanders, brother Leslie Scott Harris, sister Deena Renae Harris.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tracy Harris of Lindale; children, Jake Harris, Sr. of LaRue, Dakoda Harris of Palestine, Rumer Smith and her life partner Ryan Beaumont of Ingleside, Marry Harris and her life partner Oscar Barrero of Ft. Worth, Skye Kennedy of Lindale; grandchildren, Addison, Jake, Jr., Asher, Izzy, Jaxon, Ariel, Alivia, Addicus, Rebel, Riot and Ryder; sister, Jennifer Harris Wright and her husband Stephen of Hallsville; in-laws, John and Donna Kennedy; bonus children, Jonte Ponder, Matt Manziel; bonus grandchildren, Anna, Max, Haley, Jordan, Grace, and Alli. Also, left to carry on his legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and other loving family members.

Memorials may be made in Billy’s name to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation,
NPCF P.O. Box 1848, Longmont, CO, 80502 or www.npcf.us
