Thomas Edward Rogers, 76, of Kilgore, completed his earthly journey, in his home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Services at the graveside will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in Oak Hill Cemetery, at 11 a.m., with Rev Ashley Hord officiating, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 until 8.

Thomas was born on May 28, 1946, in Lagrange, GA, to Shelton and Lois Rogers. He was a member of the Overton High School Class of 1964. Thomas loved the outdoors, whether he was working on his backhoe, fishing or hunting. Thomas was a long-time member of the Good Guys Hunting Club.

Thomas was a 47year member of the Rocky Mount #63 AF & AM Lodge in Overton. He was a Master Mason and had previously served as lodge master. He was also a long-time member of Kilgore First Church of the Nazarene. Thomas loved spending time with is family. His greatest times of joy and happiness were with his family and friends.

Thomas was reunited with his parents, his wife Margaret Rogers, his siblings Sammy Rogers and Janice Pierce.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Mike Rogers and wife Robin of Overton, John T. Rogers and wife Crysty of Kilgore; grandchildren, Shelton Rogers of WI, Dalton Rogers, Hudson Rogers, Tucker Rogers, Sawyer Ray Rogers all of Overton, Jordan Rogers and wife Austin of Longview, Pharyn Rogers of NJ, Kavan Rogers of Kilgore, Megan Brown and husband JB of Hawkins; great grandchildren, Jody Rogers, Jackie Rogers, Izzy Rogers, Jordyn Brown, Reagan Brown, Jaxson Brown and Harden Brown; brothers, Charles Rogers of Joaquin, and Clay Rogers of Tyler, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members.
