Ruben Pipkin

Graveside services for Ruben Pipkin, 103 of Arlington, formerly of Kilgore will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Allison Andrews officiating. Mr. Pipkin passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, in Arlington, Texas.

Ruben was born on September 13, 1918, in Bonifay, Florida to the late Troy Pipkin and Roselee Smothers. Mr. Pipkin served in the United States Air Force for 24 years while serving during World War II and Korean War. He was former member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and was a member of the Danville Lodge #101 in Kilgore. After retirement from the Military, he worked in civil service in Yuma, Arizona. Ruben lived in Kilgore for 26 years prior to moving to Arlington, Texas in 2003. Ruben loved to fish, gardening and his daughter’s apple pie. He was loving and caring father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather who will be missed by all that knew him.

Mr. Pipkin is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Pipkin; and several Brothers and sisters in Florida.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Joy Weis and husband Carlton of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Mark Weis, Tim Weis and Steve and wife Sabra Weis; four great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members.
