Roy Lynn Jamerson

Roy Lynn Jamerson, 75 of Longview, completed his earthly journey on Thursday, February 3, 2022, in Longview. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. The family will hold a memorial service and inurnment at a later date in Crims Chapel Cemetery.

Roy was born on December 9, 1946, in Pasadena, CA, to Harvey A and Josa B Jamerson. He graduated from Henderson High School. During his years of employment, he worked as a chef for Wyatt’s Cafeteria in Dallas. Roy then moved back to East Texas and went to work in the oil and gas industry as a. oilfield technician until his retirement. Roy was a member of and served as Chaplain for the Pinehill Lodge #95 AF&AM and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star # 995 Hallsville. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Roy loved his family and especially his Shih-tzu furbabies.

Roy was reunited with his parents, wife Janie Jamerson, son Terry Jamerson, siblings Jannie Jamerson, Alex Jamerson, Mary Jamerson Tidwell, and Herman Jamerson.

Left to cherish hid memory are his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ed, and Rozella Mansinger of Longview. Also, left to carry on his legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family members.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and sincerest thanks to Whispering Pines Lodge for their loving and compassionate care of Roy during the final days of his earthly journey.
