A Celebration of Life for Ronnie Ben Chappell, 67, of Kilgore will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Radar Funeral Home in Kilgore with Rev. Riley Pippen officiating. Interment will follow at Pirtle Cemetery. Ronnie went home to be with the Lord Saturday afternoon June 25, 2022.

Ronnie was born on April 19,1955 in Kilgore, TX to Earl and Dorothy Chappell. He married Elizabeth in 1979 and they spent the next 43 years raising their two children, going to ball games, enjoying time with their grandchildren, and making memories. He worked as engineer for SWEPCO for 31 years. He was lovingly known as “Pop” and enjoyed ministering and fellowship with his church families including Highland Park Baptist, Lake View Baptist, and Hickory Grove Baptist.
He enjoyed playing golf with friends and family, watching any sport that he could, and spending time supporting his grandchildren. He never missed a game, whether to cheer on Kade and Kenley, coaching his sons, or driving hours to watch them, he was always there proud to show his support.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, E’beth Chappell of Kilgore; sons, Daniel Chappell and wife Kacie Chappell of Flower Mound, Daren Chappell of Kilgore; grandsons, Kade, Jaxon, Gavin and Beau; granddaughter Kenley. Also left to cherish him are his sisters and brother in-law, Donna and Charlie Hearn of Kilgore, Sharon Green and Rhonda Stansberry Williams and her husband Johnny of Arkansas. His Laird Hill brothers and sister, Rickey, Randy, and Patty Hammontree, many friends and other loving family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his parents in love Gene and Nora Stansberry.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all of the love, care, and prayers.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in Ronnie’s name to Helping Hands of Kilgore, 201 S. Martin St., Kilgore, Texas, 75662.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Radar Funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 P.M.
