Robert Latham

Graveside services for Mr. Robert Latham, 78, of Liberty City, will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Danville Cemetery with Reverend Ken Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on Friday, November 13, 2020, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Robert passed away on Tuesday, in a Longview hospital.

Robert was born on July 16, 1942, in Alto, Texas. He was the son of the late Robert Davis and Annie Lee Latham. Robert was a graduate of Kilgore High School. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Kilgore, where he was active in the music ministry. He was a member of the Marvin Camp Sunday School Class. Robert retired from Eastman and later worked for Texas Utilities (TU). He was currently a security officer at Orgill in Kilgore. Robert enjoyed singing and doing yardwork. He had served as a reserve police officer with Kilgore Police Department and Rusk County Sheriff Department.

Robert is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Lynn Latham of Liberty City; children, Robert Latham II and wife Angela of Tyler, Andy Baxter and wife Christi of Kilgore, Leanna Parker and J. Green of Liberty City, and Danny Latham and wife Amanda of Kilgore; sister and brother-in-law, Linda Lonsberry and M.L. of Longview; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, along with many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Latham; daughter, Renee’ Santiago; grandson Jeffery Santiago; sister, Barbara Sanford.
