A Celebration of Life Visitation in honor of the life of Rich Ropka, 56, of Liberty City, will be held from 4 until 6 in the evening on Saturday, Sept 4, 2021, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mr. Ropka completed his earthly journey in his home on Monday, August 16, 2021.

Rich was born on May 18, 1965, in Saratoga Springs, NY, to Richard and Elizabeth Ropka. He attended Randallstown schools in MD. Rich served his country in the U.S. Navy for 3 years. Upon his discharge he attended culinary school. His love of cooking, grilling, and BBQing continued throughout his life. When he was not driving a truck, Rich enjoyed fishing, hunting, and pulling pranks on friends and family. Rich will be greatly missed by all of those whose life has been touched by him.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Robin Ropka of Liberty City; children, Alexandra Chitwood, and her husband Zachary of CA., Bryce Ropka of VA.; siblings, Vanessa Lienweber and her husband John of FL., Steven Ropka, and his wife Davina of Katy; and the mother of his children, Melissa Ropka of CA. Also, left to carry on his legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family members.
