Ralph Thomas "Tom" Caldwell

Funeral services for Ralph Thomas “Tom” Caldwell, 69 of Kilgore, Texas will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with, Tom’s Son, Dr. Daniel Caldwell and Rev. David Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at Kilgore Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday; one hour prior to service. Mr. Caldwell passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at his residence.

Ralph Thomas Caldwell was born to Ralph O. and Lorene (Phillips) Caldwell in Kilgore, Texas on September 2, 1949. Tom graduated from High School in Jackson, Mississippi before enlisting in the United States Marine Corp. He served his country during the Vietnam War from 1968-70. After returning home Tom completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Mississippi State University at Hattiesburg, He later moved to Dallas where he spent his career as a master carpenter. Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors and will be missed by all that knew him.

Mr. Caldwell is preceded in death by his parents and sister Kathy.

Tom is survived by his son, Dr. Daniel Caldwell of Randolph, Texas; brother, David Caldwell and wife Angie of Overton; former wife, Kristi Bridgwater, and his loyal companion and feline friend Beasley. Tom also leaves behind numerous loving family members and cherished friends.
