Neva Joyce Hobbs

Neva Hobbs, 78, of Kilgore, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 11th, 2021. She was born on October 6th, 1942 to the late C. E. Hudspeth and Bessie Sample Hudspeth. Neva attended Kilgore High School. Mrs. Hobbs was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all that knew her. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. Some of her favorite things to do were reading a good book, traveling, fishing, playing cards, spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked for many years at Kilgore ISD where she managed Kilgore Heights Cafeteria. She worked at KwikKopy printing downtown. She and her husband owned The LightHouse frame shop for several years. In her later years they enjoyed having a hamburger at the DQ in Liberty City almost every day for lunch.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 61 years Michael L. Hobbs of Kilgore, children Patrick Hobbs of Kilgore, Angela Kerridge and husband Bob of Longview, Timothy Hobbs and wife Linda of Kilgore and Jason Hobbs and wife Elizabeth of Henderson; sisters Annette Jackson of Mississippi and Brenda Henley and husband Richard of Kilgore; grandchildren, Peyton Hobbs and husband Trenton, Caleb Boles, Jacob Boles and wife Deanna, Andrew Williamson and wife Alyssa, Jay Jordan and wife Morgan, Shayla Lee and husband Miles, Chet Hobbs and wife Kimberly, Garrett Hobbs and Madeleine Wells; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Graveside services for Neva Hobbs, 78 of Kilgore will be Wednesday April 14th at 3:00 P.M. at Kilgore Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Riley Pippen officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM Wednesday, April 14th at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.
