Mike Rhodes

Funeral services for Mr. Mike Rhodes, 67, of Kilgore will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with Reverend John Voss officiating. Burial will follow at the Overton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Mr. Rhodes passed away on Tuesday in a Longview hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Mike was born on April 10, 1954, in Overton. Mike graduated from Overton High School and attended Stephen F. Austin State University. He retired from ETTL Engineers & Consultants and was currently working at McDaniel's Quality Body Works in Longview. Mike was a great husband, father, and friend. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Debbie. Mike loved playing golf and working in his yard.

Mike was preceded by his parents, Cecil Rhodes and Mary Rhodes-Lewis; stepfather, Curtis Lewis and brother, Jimmy Rhodes.

He is survived by his loving wife Debbie Rhodes of Kilgore, children, Andy Rhodes of Longview, Shon Boren and wife Khanh of Farmington, Minnesota, Jason Boren and wife Valerie of League City, Haley O’Brain and husband Matthew of Joinerville; grandchildren, Marlee Rhodes, Carson Rhodes, Hunter Rhodes, Hailey Boren, Kayla Boren, Xzavier Boren, Talia Boren, Caden Boren, Chase Boren, and Briella O’Brain; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.
