Michael David Shoopman

Visitation for Michael David Shoopman, 63, of Kilgore will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from six until eight o’clock in the evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Memorial services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore at three o’clock in the afternoon with Reverend David Hampton officiating. Mr. Shoopman passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022, at his home in Kilgore surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was born on December 23, 1958 in Cook county, Illinois to Artist Roseellen Witcher and Ray Lavon Shoopman. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Colorado and graduated with his associates degree. Michael was a very hard worker. He worked for Pioneer Carpet Company for numerous years and Kilgore Tire Shop for ten years. He married the love of his life Cynthia Marie Terry Shoopman on September 20, 2008. They shared fourteen joyful years of marriage together, and countless memories. Michael loved to give gifts. He enjoyed playing the bongo, gardening, and listening to the band the Grateful Dead. His favorite football team was the Denver Broncos, and he never missed a game. He was a loving husband, brother, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cynthia Marie Terry Shoopman, bonus children, Wendy Terry, Roy Shoopman and wife Jill Shoopman, siblings, Timothy Guentensberger, Delores King, and Marty Shoopman, grandchildren, Caden Shoopman, Natalie Shoopman, Jerrica Terry, great-grandchildren, John Bearce, Jaycee Bearce, and Jesiah Bearce, and nephew, Anthony Osterloh along with numerous other loving friends and family members.

He was reunited with his parents, siblings, Johnny Shoopman, Roy Shoopman, and Lawrence, along with his sister-in-law Sally Guentensberger.
