MR. MARTIN “MARTY” DALE JEFFUS

Funeral services for Martin “Marty” Jeffus, 72, of Kilgore, will be held on Thursday July 9, 2020 at 2pm at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore. Interment will follow at Danville Cemetery. Mr. Jeffus passed away on July 5, 2020 in Kilgore.

Marty was born on January 9, 1948 in Kilgore to Lewis Martin Jeffus and Norma Dale Jeffus. He was an avid fisherman and BBQ enthusiast. Marty was the epitome of a family man. His ultimate pride in life was his children and grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as “Big Daddy.” He embodied the quality of selflessness and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Kathy Jeffus.

Marty is survived by his four children; Jimmy Jeffus and wife Melanie McClain of West Columbia, Justin Jeffus and wife Erin of Rockwall, Jennifer Jeffus and partner Amber Woodruff of Kilgore, and Jeannie Ann Jeffus and husband Jeff Garner of Kilgore; grandchildren, Jenna Jeffus, Jackson Jeffus, Hannah Garner, Jace Jeffus, Ani Garner, and Kanton Garner; and a very special acknowledgement to the Kilgore Class of ’66 for all of your support and being there for Martin.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 6pm to 8pm at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel.
