Martha Sue Kennedy

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Sue Kennedy, 80, of East Mountain will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2021, at Longview First Assembly of God Church with Reverend Edgar Ayala officiating. Burial will follow at the Gladewater Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mrs. Kennedy passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Kilgore.

Martha was born on February 11, 1941, in Spring Hill, Texas, she was the daughter of Andrew Harvey Leath and Lela Jones Leath. Martha was a member of Longview First Assembly of God Church. She loved to sing and listen to Gospel Music. Martha and her late husband Ralph were part of the musical team of The Singing Kennedy’s. She and Ralph enjoyed travelling in their younger years. Martha loved going to church, working in her flower gardens and time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ralph Coleman Kennedy, children, Sharon Lesch, Ricky Kennedy, Pam Kennedy, and David Kennedy.

Martha is survived by her grandchildren, Michael Johnson and wife Angel of Kilgore and Rocky Johnson of Kilgore; great grandsons, Brayden Johnson and Braddox Johnson; siblings, Alyce Wells of Longview and Billy Don Leath of Dallas; daughter, Evelyn Pisano and husband Sal of Longview; grandchildren, Chad Walls, J.J. Walls, and Tiffani Walls Taylor; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
