Martha Simpson

Cremation arrangements for Martha Simpson, 28 of Overton are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023, from five until seven o'clock in the evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. The Simpson family is hosting a memorial service on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at two o’clock in the afternoon at Church of Living Hope at 3308 Mineola Hwy, Tyler, TX, 75702. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Martha completed her earthly journey on May 7, 2023, at her home in Overton.


Martha was born on December 16, 1994, in Teruel, Spain to Marcos Lee Simpson and Trinidad Solano Simpson. She attended primary school while living in Ecuador and Creekside Christian School after moving to Overton, Texas. Martha attended Awana club at Kilgore Bible Church for five years. She was also a member of Church of Living Hope for twenty years. Martha loved Jesus and loved people. She worked at Downtown D’Lites Café, Kilgore Small Animal Veterinary Hospital, and Atwood’s. She adored animals, especially horses, and the chickens she raised. Martha’s hobbies included playing the piano, singing, spending time outdoors, painting, and traveling. Above all else Martha loved her family, they were her source of happiness. Martha was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend to all. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.


Left to cherish her memory are her loving parents Marcos Simpson and Trinidad Solano Simpson of Overton, sister, Rachel Harvey and husband Timothy Harvey of Tyler, brothers David Simpson of Overton and Andrew Simpson of Overton, grandmother Janis Simpson of Overton, uncles Andy Simpson, Mike Simpson, Dabi Simpson, Fernando Solano, and Jesus Solano, Aunt Ana Solano, and numerous cousins and other loving family members.


Martha was reunited with her paternal grandfather Dale Simpson, and maternal grandparents Fernando Solano, Sr., and Dolores Sanchez.
