Lynn Fail

Services at the graveside for Lynn Fail, 74, of Kilgore, will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 2 pm in the Talco Cemetery in Talco, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, with Rev. Roger Purdy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 until 4 in the afternoon. Mr. Fail went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in Longview.

Lynn was born on August 8, 1947, in Deport to J.C. and Vivian Fail. He attended Talco High School. Lynn faithfully and dutifully served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Lynn met and married the love of his life, Anna, and they spent the next 50 years making many loving and happy memories. He loved to go fishing, traveling, and going on cruises. Lynn loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Gospel Lighthouse Church in Laird Hill. Southern Gospel music was his favorite music, and he would travel many miles to support his favorite group the Southern Plainsmen Quartet. Lynn’s family, especially his grandchildren, were the source of his strength and spending time with them was when he was happiest.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Anna Fail, of Kilgore; children, Alisa Beard of Longview, Victor “Bubba” Fail and his life-partner, Ava Jones of Liberty City; grandchildren, Shawn Nguyen and her husband Paul of Longview, Kevin Mercer and his life-partner Marissa Blackwell of Norman, OK, Ferrari Mercer and her life-partner Brittany Morris of Norman, OK, Jerald Beard and his life-partner Halie Curlee of Kilgore, Ashley Martindale and her husband Malcolm of Eastland, Tacara Fail, Princeton Jones, Price Fail, Bubba Fail, Jr., Vivid Lynn Fail all of Liberty City; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings Vaughn Parker and her husband Doug of Killeen, Jimmy Fail and his wife Aline of Palestine, Marilyn Presley and her husband Ronnie of Talco. Also, left to carry on his legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family members.

Lynn was reunited in Heaven with his parents and an uncle Clarence Fail.
