Lanell Smithey

Graveside services for LaNell Smithey, 83, of Henderson, will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 2pm at Kilgore Memorial Gardens. LaNell was called home by her Lord and Savior on July 25, 2020.

LaNell was born in Henderson, TX on June 4, 1937, to the late Reagan and Willa Dean Goss. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all that knew her. She was a charter member of Victory Road Baptist Church in Kilgore. Before her illness, LaNell was devoted to her church and loved singing in the choir. She was always singing and playing the guitar.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Edward Smithey, two brothers, Glendale Goss and Bruce Goss, two sisters, Nelda June Goss and Beverly Ann Harris.

LaNell is survived by her sons, James R. Fountain, Harvey F. Fountain, Arie F. Fountain, and Rodney E. Smithey and wife Lucy; daughter Linda L. Sipes and husband Jimmy; sister, Joyce Durham; two brothers; Larry Goss and Roger Goss; grandchildren, Jason Sipes and wife Priscilla, Heather Kirk and husband David, Jennifer Sipes, Melinda Sipes, Cody Fountain and wife Bridgett, Thad Fountain and wife Brooke, Jamie Fowler and husband Craig, Ashley Norris and husband Darryl, Reagan Standard, Colby Fountain, Brittany Howard, Brandon Smithey, and Brandi Smithey; 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home on Monday July 27, 2020 from 5-7pm.
