Judith Lynn Dupree Ott

Judith Lynn Dupree Ott, 58, of Kilgore, completed her earthly journey and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in Longview, following a courageously fought, brief illness. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Private Interment will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 until 7.

Judith was born on December 10, 1963, in Texarkana, Tx., to Wayne and Sonja Dupree. She was a member of the Atlanta High School Class of 1982. Judith was a Christian; she accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age in First Baptist Church of Atlanta. Judith was very active in the band during her junior high and high school days. She was selected as drum major for the Atlanta Junior High School Band her eighth-grade year. Judith was also selected as drum major to lead The Big Bad Band From Rabbitland, which received numerous musical and marching awards, during her senior year.

Judith received a Bachelor’s degree in 1986 from North Texas State University in Fashion Merchandising, with a minor in Marketing. After graduation she pursued her career in retail sales in several leading department stores in the Dallas Metroplex. Upon moving back to Kilgore in 1992, she changed careers and was employed with Edward Jones. Judith was employed with Edward Jones for 19 years as a branch office administrator for 3 individual Edward Jones financial advisors. However, she spent the majority of her career with Wilbur Yates, financial advisor, in Kilgore.

Judith was reunited with her father Wayne Dupree; infant sister Jessica Dupree; maternal grandparents Collins and Verna High; paternal grandparents Bernard and Pat Dupree

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Cameron Wayne Ott of Kilgore, mother, Sonja Dupree of Kilgore, and sister Jennifer Dupree of Houston. Also, left to carry on Judith’s legacy are numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and very dear life-long friends.

A memorial service for Judith Dupree Ott, will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church, Hiram St., Atlanta, Tx.
