Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Christ The King Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Danville Cemetery. Fr. John Henao will be the Celebrant. A rosary will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Visitation to follow rosary.
Jose was born in Mexico, on May 9, 1954 to Fidel and Augustina Galvan. He was a member of Christ The King Catholic church in Kilgore. Jose enjoyed “scratching” lottery tickets, fishing, listening to music and dancing. His family was the source of his strength and spending time with them was when he was happiest.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Maria Galvan of Kilgore; his children, Lorena DeLuna and her husband Martin, Martha Cedillo and her husband Raul, Mally Galvan and her husband Roel, Fidel Galvan and his wife Celenie, Silvia Valenzuela and her husband Ruben, Zeferino Galvan and his wife Mary, Miguel Galvan and his wife Lupita, Mayra Torres and her husband Salvador, Emma Galvan and Rachel Galvan all of Kilgore; 31 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Alejandrina Galvan of Mexico, Vincente Galvan and his wife Olga of San Antonio. Also, left to carry on his legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other loving family members.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Karina Galvan, Cali Galvan and a daughter, Lupita Galvan.

La Misa de Entierro Cristiano se celebrará a las 10 a.m. del viernes 28 de agosto de 2020 en la Iglesia Católica Cristo Rey. El entierro seguirá en el Cementerio de Danville. El P. John Henao será el Celebrante. El jueves 27 de agosto de 2020 se celebrará un rosario a las 18.00 en la Capilla de la Funeraria Rader en Kilgore. Visita para seguir el rosario.
José nació en México, el 9 de mayo de 1954, hijo de Fidel y Augustina Galvan. Fue miembro de la iglesia católica de Cristo Rey en Kilgore. Jose disfrutaba de "rascar" boletos de lotería, pescar, escuchar música y bailar. Su familia fue la fuente de su fuerza y pasar tiempo con ellos fue cuando era más feliz.
Su memoria sea honrada por su esposa de 47 años, María Galván de Kilgore; sus hijos, Lorena DeLuna y su esposo Martin, Martha Cedillo y su esposo Raúl, Mally Galvan y su esposo Roel, Fidel Galvan y su esposa Celenie, Silvia Valenzuela y su esposo Ruben, Zeferino Galvan y su esposa Mary, Miguel Galvan y su esposa Lupita, Mayra Torres y su esposo Salvador, Emma Galvan y Rachel Galvan todos de Kilgore; 31 nietos y 1 bisnieto; hermanos, Alejandrina Galván de México, Vincente Galván y su esposa Olga de San Antonio. Además, a la izquierda para continuar con su legado se encuentran numerosas sobrinas, sobrinos, amigos y otros familiares amorosos.
José fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres, su hermana, Karina Galvan, Cali Galvan y una hija, Lupita Galván.
