Jordyn Elizabeth Hampton
Jordyn Elizabeth Hampton, 19, of Kilgore, completed her earthly journey, following a motor vehicle accident, in Longview on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. A Celebration of Jordyn’s life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 1 p.m. The service will take place under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, in the sanctuary of Forest Home Baptist Church, with Rev. Freeman Pierce officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 until 8 in the evening.
Jordyn was born on June 20, 2003, in Kilgore to Rebekah Chico and David Hampton. She was a member of the Kilgore High School Class 2021. Jordyn was employed with Bubba’s 33 restaurant in Longview. Jordyn was attending Kilgore College and was majoring in photography. She was bubbly, witty, energetic, a social butterfly and was loved by all who came into contact with her. Jordyn loved to shop, eat and go on road trips.
Jordyn enjoyed being outdoors, going to the beach. She had a true passion for softball. Jordyn played softball for Kilgore High School until her graduation, and she also played for several select teams. Her teammates were an extension of her family. Jordyn’s family was the source of her strength and joy. Being with her family was when Jordyn was the happiest. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the blessing of getting to know her.
Jordyn was reunited with her grandparents Beatrice Hampton, Pete Hampton, bonus mother Jessica Hart.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Rebekah Chico and her partner James Spencer of Kilgore, David Hampton of Liberty City; siblings, Lea Hampton and her partner Elliott Garland of Kilgore, Kyle Hampton and his girlfriend Hailey Dean of Kilgore; bonus siblings, Lexi Luker of Gilmer, Matthew Spencer of Kilgore, Landon Spencer of Hallsville; nephew, Elijah Hampton of Kilgore; grandparents, Tammie Ortiz and her husband Javier of Kilgore, and Teresa Spencer of Kilgore. Also, left to carry on her legacy are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other loving family members.
