Joe Bishnow

Funeral services for Mr. Joe Bishnow, 61, of Liberty City will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with Reverend Keith Wilkerson officiating. Joe passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

Joe Bishnow was born on May 11, 1961, in Waco, Texas, son of Bernie and Joyce Bishnow. After high school graduation Joe attended Texas State Technical College. He was employed at TXU/Vistra Corp. Joe loved his family and vacations to the beach. His hobbies include spending time with his family and grandchildren who called him “Poppy”. They were his #1 priority and joy. He will always be remembered for his smile and his playful and goofy personality. Always willing to lend a helping hand to friends, neighbors, and his family. He was one of a kind.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Bernie Bishnow.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 35 years, Jan Wilson Bishnow, of Liberty City, mother, Joyce Bishnow; daughters, Hailey Norris (Justin) of Kilgore, Catlin Hoecherl (Cody) of Kilgore, Ashley Cook (Mark) of Batesville, Arkansas, Nicole Smith (Kenny) of Liberty City; grandchildren, Lexy, Tex, Sawyer, Violet, Birdie, Kit and one on the way Goldie; sister, Janet Vanderveer and husband Don of Round Rock; nephews, Eric and Trevor; niece, Tori.
