Jean Howell

March 19, 1950 — January 3, 2023

A private family celebration of life for Jean Howell, 72, of Rowlett, Texas will be held this Saturday, January 14th. Jean was surrounded by her family when she went to be with the Lord, on January 3, 2023.

Jean was born March 19, 1950, in Kilgore, Texas to J. V. and Billirene Ware. Jean was a member of a multi-generational family of musicians. In East Texas she was known as part of the “Singing Ware Sisters.” Their family were longtime members of the Forest Home Baptist Church where they were active in the choir. She was a member of the KHS choir and voted most talented in the Kilgore High School graduating class of 1968. Jean had a life of service to her Lord and Savior. She married Jerry Howell May 29, 1988. Jean and her husband Reverend Dr. Jerry Howell co-pastored Destiny Christian Center of Garland, Texas for nearly 30 years. Jean was a very talented musician traveling professionally for several years.

Jean’s greatest joy was being a mom to her two children, Randi and Brandon and a dedicated and loving wife to her husband Jerry. Her highest accomplishment was being considered “A Granny of all Granny’s” to her six grandchildren. Jean was a devoted woman of God who enjoyed serving and encouraging all who crossed her path. She loved life and brought joy to everyone she met. Jean could light up the room with her smile and she was a peacemaker who exuded unconditional love.

Jean is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jerry Howell of Rowlett; her daughter, Randi Page Owen and her husband, Ralph of Lakeland, Tennessee; her son, Brandon Edward Page and his wife, Dana Taylor Page of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Judy Hanks and her husband, Sonny of Kilgore, Janie Madison of Winnsboro, Texas and Joy Best and her husband Kevin, of Lindale, Texas; six grandchildren, Titan Page of Austin, Aidan Page of Austin, Gylan Page of Austin, Liliana Owen of Lakeland, Tennessee, Honor Page of Austin and Hunter Owen of Lakeland, Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews,
