Janice McNaughton


Janice McNaughton, 75, of Palm Coast, FL passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021. Janice was born on July 16, 1945, in Batesville, Arkansas to the late Clarence and Georgia (Tucker) Chastain. She graduated from Kilgore High School in 1963.

Janice worked as a nurse in Dallas, Texas in 1972, where she met her future husband, Michael “Mac” McNaughton. They moved to California in 1975 and were married in August.

Their first child Conan was born in 1976, Jeff in 1978 and Derrick in 1980. They moved to Illinois in 1985. Janice continued to work for a cardiologist before retiring in 2000 and moved back to Texas. She cared for her mother after the death of her father and her husband. She moved to Florida in 2012 where she lived with her son Jeffrey until her passing.

Janice enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her grandkids.

Janice is survived by her sons, Conan McNaughton, Jeffrey McNaughton, Derrick McNaughton; daughter in laws, Erin, Amber, Crystal; grandchildren, Samantha, Casey, Braeden, Mya, Shay, Kellan.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Michael “Mac” McNaughton; brother, JT Chastain; sister, Elaine Guthrie and grandson Jay McNaughton.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 3 until 5 in the afternoon.
