Services at the graveside for Jamie Lee Harris, 72, of Kilgore, will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 2 pm in the Kilgore City Cemetery with Rev. Barry Metz and Dr. Tom Beets officiating. Ms. Harris completed her earthly journey and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 18, 2019 in Kilgore.

Jamie Lee was born on September 15, 1947, in Kilgore, to Jimmy and Bennie Harris. Jamie was born being one of God’s precious gifts and did not allow her special needs to hold her back. She loved Jesus with all of her heart and in turn had a huge desire to help those less fortunate and help those who were involved in mission work. Jamie Lee was a faithful member of Kilgore Bible Church. Her friendly demeanor and outgoing personality endeared her to all with whom she came into contact. She lived in various nursing centers during her life and she enjoyed playing Bingo, always giving her winnings to missions or to the less fortunate. Jamie Lee’s smile and generosity will be missed by all of those whose lives that she has touched.

Left to cherish Jamie Lee’s memory are her sister, Annette Harris of Kilgore; aunt, Earline Watson of Kilgore; cousins, Gayla Sellers and husband Kevin of Richardson, AJ Phipps and wife Joan of Houston, Joe Dean Phipps and his wife Sue of Houston and David Phipps of Kilgore. Also, left to carry on her legacy are numerous friends, church family and other loving family members.

Jamie Lee was preceded in death by her parents, sister Trudy Harris and cousin Bart Watson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12pm until 2pm prior to the service on Wednesday.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Arbor Grace of Kilgore for their loving and compassionate care of Jamie Lee during the final days of her earthly journey.
