A Mass of Christian burial for Helen Ruth Roberts, 97, of Kilgore, will be held on Saturday, September 10, 11 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, preceded by rosary and visitation, 7 pm on Friday, September 9, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. A private interment will be held later in Monroe, Louisiana.


Helen was born June 14, 1925, in Zanesville, OH, to Harry Foss Ruth and Jane Carroll Ruth. She earned a Bachelor's of Science in Home Economics at Ohio State where she met and married Clarence (Larry) Roberts. They enjoyed 62 years of wedded happiness in Monroe, LA. Helen loved her family and friends, volunteering, growing roses, tennis, bridge, and golf. She earned a Master’s in Education at NLU in 1984 and was a fervent Republican.


 On September 4, 2022, Helen was reunited with her parents, husband Larry, sister Dorothy Strahler and twin brother Robert Ruth.


 Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dr. Karen Roberts Repasky and husband Dr. James Repasky, Dr. Tom Roberts and wife Joanie, Dr. Susan Roberts and husband Don Vail, Cindy King and husband Troy, Eric Roberts; grandchildren, Rebecca, Greg, Ben, Elizabeth, Sam, Delaney, and Wyatt; and great grandchildren, Addi, Deacon, Landon, and Athena. The family wishes to thank Kim Mullins, Helen's amazing caregiver for her loving care for the last few years.
