Helen Pedison Padgett

Helen Pedison Padgett, 84, of Kilgore, completed her earthly journey in her home surrounded by her family, on Thursday, July 7, 2022. A private entombment will be held for Helen under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.

Helen was born on January 9, 1938, in Marshall, to Anthony and Anthippe Pedison. She graduated from Marshall High School. Helen received a Bachelor’s Degree from North Texas University and went on to receive a Master’s Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. She taught for the Dallas ISD for 19 years, and then went on to teach for Pine Tree ISD for 22 years until her retirement. Helen was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Dallas.

Helen was reunited with her parents and her stepdaughter Kristi Padgett.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 48 years, James Padgett; stepdaughter, Pamela Padgett; brothers, Jim Pedison and his wife Carolyn, Johnny Pedison and his wife Frances; sister, Angela Pedison Cook and her husband George. Also, left to carry on her
legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family members.
