Glendeen Perry

August 28, 1926 — December 16, 2020

Glendeen Perry, 94, passed from this life into the arms of her precious Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

She was born in Mooringsport, Louisiana to L.B. and Alice Sherrill. Later, her family moved to Kilgore where she would remain a lifelong resident.

Glendeen was first and foremost devoted to her relationship with her Lord and Savior. She cherished reading her Bible (before her eyesight began to fail her), and you could always hear her praying at bedtime (even after her memory had failed her). She was a founding member of Trinity Assembly of God in Kilgore. She played the piano and taught Sunday School for many years, but taught mostly by being a true Godly example. She would take food to people who were shut in and go visit the elderly, even when she herself was elderly. She will always be remembered as a woman of prayer, faith and wisdom.

She was a loving mother and a doting "Mammaw" who was always full of love, good times and served plenty of delicious food. Everything always tasted better at Mammaw's.

Glendeen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Bobby; and son-in-law, Mike.

Left to cherish her memories and her legacy are her daughters, Glenda and Carol (Ken); grandchildren, Cory, Jan-Michael (Lynda), Lana (Frank) and Lisa (Joel); great grandchildren, London, Emma, Isaiah, Amelia and Avery; 2 sisters, Helen and Joy; numerous other family members and many friends.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Texas Home Health and Hospice for the loving and compassionate care they gave to our sweet mother.
