Genna Kate Bowers

Genna Kate Bowers was born on April 12, 2022, at 8:41 a.m. and gained her angel wings 45 minutes later at 9:26 a.m. She was born at Longview Regional Medical Center, where we were blessed with the most kind and loving doctors and nursing staff.

Genna weighed 5 lbs. 7 oz. and was 18 inches long. She was born with her eyes open, checking out the world around her. Genna was the perfect combination of Gracelynn and Gunner, with her brown curly hair, bright blue eyes, and sweet kissable lips; her precious little face was pure perfection and a reflection of Heaven.

Even though our hearts are broken, we are able to have peace through this journey knowing that our baby girl’s entrance into the world impacted so many lives through her gift of organ donation. We will always remember her as “Our Little Hero.”

A Celebration of Life for Genna will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Interment will follow in Danville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Genna was reunited with her great-grandparents: Gurt Brown, Pete and Dora Baker, Cathy Baker, Bobby and Frances Holcomb and Perry and Dorothy Bowers.

Left to cherish Genna’s memory are her parents. Kyle and Tiphany Bowers; siblings, Miracle, Gracelynn, and Gunner; grandparents, Dewayne and Barbara Baker, Matt and Rhonda Bowers; great-grandmother, Jan Brown; uncles and aunts, Chris and Veronica Pruett, Bryan and Jacque Bowers, Chad and Erin Bowers; as well as numerous cousins.

Serving as Genna’s pallbearers will be Ryder Bowers, Jack Bowers, Blaine Riley, and Koda Hudman.

Her honorary pallbearers will be C.J. Pruett, Daksten Pruett, Easton Mathews, Waylon Scott, Zane Salazar, and Beau Hampton.
