Services for Mrs. Gail Woodard, 66, of Kilgore will be held Monday, April 1, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with Reverend David Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at the Kilgore Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. on Sunday. Mrs. Woodard passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

Gail was born in Gladewater on June 4, 1952. She was the daughter of the late J.A and Mozell Cooper. Gail graduated from Gladewater High School and Texas A & M University. She worked as a CPA and taught at Kilgore College. Gail was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gladewater and when her health permitted it she enjoyed running and playing tennis. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Chapter Xi Alpha Delta Omega, where she reached the level of Masters, which is the highest honor a member can obtain.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, William Woodard of Kilgore; daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Shawn Carter of Kilgore; two granddaughters, Chelsea and Olivia Carter both of Kilgore; sisters-in-law, Diane Beard of Longview, Theresa Adams of Rhome, TX, and Janette Woodard of Coushatta, LA.
