FRANKIE EDNEY COLVIN

Mrs. Frankie Edney Colvin, 80 of Winona, completed her earthly journey on Monday, April 6, 2020, in Gladewater following a lengthy illness. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

Frankie was born on April 16, 1939, to John Carson and Josephine Edney in Lake City AR. She graduated from Kilgore High School in 1957 and married the love of her life Earl in the same year. They were members of Victory Baptist Church in Kilgore. Frankie was a Certified Medication Aide for various long-term care facilities throughout East Texas until her retirement. She enjoyed fishing and flower gardening. Her family was the source of her strength and spending time with them was when she was happiest.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles Earl Colvin of Winona; daughters, Debra butler of New Diana, Carol Gibson of Longview, Brenda Gonzales of Winona; sister, Shirley Fields and her husband Don of AR; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also, left to carry on her legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other loving family members.

Frankie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Vernon Edney and Clifford Edney.
