Francis Denice Simmons (Silman)

Cremation arrangements for Francis Simmons (Silman), 70, of Kilgore are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. Francis completed her earthly journey on March 25, 2023, at her home in Kilgore with her loving husband by her side.

Francis was born on December 23, 1952, in El Paso, Texas. She was raised by Delores Larson. She attended many school districts throughout her adolescents and made new friends with each passing semester. Francis obtained her GED from West Monroe, LA. She got sober on April 29, 1995. Afterwards the love of her life Dennis Lamar Silman joined her on May 11, 1995, and they got married on July 31, 1995. They spent the next twenty-seven years together making countless unforgettable memories. Francis’s was a born again Christian and spent much of her time serving the Lord. She attended Highland Park Baptist Church for numerous years. Francis’s hobbies included fishing for white perch, gardening, and watching humming birds. Her family was her source of strength and happiness. She especially adored her great-grandchildren; they could do no wrong in her eyes. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Francis will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Dennis Lamar Silman; daughters Lenora (Shell) and Husband James Glasco, Heidi and husband Jeremy Shaw, andVarinia and husband Bob Kirk; grandchildren Skyler and Alexia Moye, Derrick Moye, Colton and Carleen Glasco, Colby Shaw, Jillian Shaw and partner Juan, Kirstynn Shaw, Samantha Klink, Jake Klink, Tristan Kirk, and R.J. Kirk; siblings Laverne Copeland, and Ruby Simmons; along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her compassionate Alcoholics Anonymous family.

Francis was reunited with her parents, and two siblings.
