Ferne Cox Parker Florence, 96, of Kilgore completed her earthly journey on Thursday, July 8, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. The family will hold a private burial.

Ferne was born on July 5, 1925, in Holiday, Tx to Jack and Osa Vera Cox. She graduated from Kilgore High School in 1943. Ferne was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Her family owned and operated their family business, Cox’s Antiques in Kilgore for many years. Ferne enjoyed shopping for antiques and any other items that caught her eye. She also, traveled extensively and live even abroad for several years.

Ferne was reunited with her husband Jack Parker, her parents, and sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 15 years, Jack Florence, of Kilgore; children, Gwen Sandefur of Kilgore, Raye Terry and her husband Newton of Holly Lake, Sandra Archer of Dallas, Mark Parker, and his wife Mikki of Kilgore; siblings, Claudette Jones of Longview, Jerry Cox, and his wife Judy of Kilgore. Also, left to carry on her legacy are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family members.
