Private Graveside services for Elsie Edna Williams, 95 of Kilgore are being held at Lake Park Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Shell Knob, Missouri. Mrs. Williams passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 in Kilgore, Texas.
Elsie was born on July 1, 1924 in Jobabo, Cuba to the late Edward Everett Rice and Illuminda Juanita Arevelo. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Kilgore. Mrs. Williams lived in Alaska for 20 years prior to moving to Shell Knob, Missouri and eventually moving to Kilgore in 2008. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, sewing, traveling and being in the outdoors. Mrs. Williams especially enjoyed hunting and fishing in Alaska where she had the opportunity to take a Caribou, Moose, and a bear. Elsie was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Williams; son, Dennis “Bud” Grenier and sisters, Lucille Outler, Ester “Billie” Miller, and Carmen Crowley.
She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Don Grenier and wife Clara of Kilgore; daughter, Diane G. Johnson of Surprise, Arizona; sisters, Verna Weishampel of Beaumont, Elva Drennan of Cypress, Texas and Mary Cabrera of College Station; 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; special friends, Evelyn Warlick and Sandy Snow and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members.
