Dorothy Faye Wheeler Barton

Graveside services for Mrs. Dorothy Faye Wheeler Barton, 83, of Kilgore will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Danville Cemetery. Mrs. Barton passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019.

Dorothy was born on June 6, 1936, in Kilgore. She was the daughter of the late Willis and Margaret Ensminger Wheeler. Dorothy was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Kilgore and worked many years at J.C. Penney’s in Kilgore. She had many hobbies, sewing, quilting, and ceramics. Dorothy treasured her children and family, they were the light of her life.

Dorothy was a joy to be around and she will be greatly missed by all her nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Dawson D. “Cotton” Barton; son, Robert Wade “Bob” Barton; daughter, Charlotte Barton; sisters, Mary Lee Wheeler Heck and Freda Mae Wheeler McGinty; brothers, Eugene Jefferson Wheeler, Charles Raymond Wheeler and George Elton Wheeler.
