Donald G. Jeter

Donald G. Jeter, 81, of Chalk Hill, completed his earthly journey in his home on Sunday, June 15, 2020. Cremation arrangements are with Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.

Don was born on July 26, 1938, in Rodessa, LA, to Julius “Slim” and Alice Jeter. He served in the United States Air Force. During his years of employment, he worked in the oil and gas industry as well as cattle ranching. Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, he just loved to do anything outside in the woods. He loved guns and was an avid collector and an excellent marksman.

Don is survived by his wife Brenda Jeter of Chalk Hill; son, Simco Jeter, Jr of Odessa; several grand and great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, children Donald G. “Donnie” Jeter, Jr., Nicki Jeter, Allan Jeter, first cousin and best friend Bennie Sharp and his first two wives.
